What is ITIL?

Of course the expectation is that you stumbled across this website because you knew what ITIL was all about, but in case you don’t (probably because you are one of my friends or relatives who is checking out my blog), let me give you an quick primer on ITIL-

ITIL is:

  • ITIL is a very heavy set of books.
  • ITIL is something you should have on your resume if you are an IT professional.
  • ITIL is a dictionary that defines a common language for people in IT.
  • ITIL is a library of material that contain a public framework of best practices for managing the lifecycle of IT Services and the processes and functions that support those Services.
